How do you find your products?
I have been keeping lists of designers I love for years. Once I decided to take the leap and start buying products, I reached out to those businesses first. Normally I would travel around and find things by visiting shops and markets, but opening during a pandemic led to a lot of online sleuthing. Fortunately, when you find one piece that matches your aesthetic, others soon follow! Looking forward to getting back out in the world soon.
What values do you look for in a designer/craftsperson?
I want to bring you products that are handmade, small-batch, sustainable, and support women and minority entrepreneurs whenever possible. And I am also drawn to things that I use, products that are practical for the home and beautiful.
The picture on the Nine North homepage was taken at sunrise from the dock of our lake house. Above is just one of the hundreds of perfect sunsets from the same spot. The Adirondacks are a special place for my family. Despite moving around a lot, this was always home. The view and this place inspire me to find beautiful pieces for my house and yours.
